F.A.Q
1. What is IndieFuel?
IndieFuel is a platform that partners with animation artists and brands to provide immediate financial relief to animation workers. We do this by adding a small surcharge to existing merchandise sales, ensuring that every IndieFuel dollar directly supports an artist in need.
2. How does IndieFuel work?
When you purchase an IndieFuel-branded product or donate, a one-time, non-refundable payment is made to the IndieFuel Fund. The fund then instantly pays the next artist in line based on their financial tier, or it holds slots for them to receive support for essentials like meals.
3. What are the financial tiers?
IndieFuel operates on four tiers of financial relief: $50, $100, $150, and $200. Payments are distributed based on an artist’s designated tier, ensuring fair and immediate support.
4. Who qualifies for IndieFuel support?
Artists are selected through an automated system that ensures fairness and prioritizes those in the most financially vulnerable situations. Additional public nominations and industry employee nominations help expand the pool of recipients.
5. Does IndieFuel sell its own products?
No, IndieFuel does not sell products. Instead, we partner with brands and studios, applying a small surcharge to their existing products to help fund animation artists in need.
6. Can I donate without making a purchase?
Yes! You can contribute directly to the IndieFuel Fund, ensuring more artists receive immediate support based on their financial tier.
7. Has IndieFuel formed any partnerships yet?
Yes! We’ve already formed exciting partnerships with brands and industry leaders who share our mission of supporting independent animation artists. We’re continuing to expand these collaborations to maximize the impact of IndieFuel.
8. Is IndieFuel a nonprofit?
No, IndieFuel is not a registered nonprofit. We operate as a commercial entity with a mission to support independent artists. Contributions made through our platform are not tax-deductible.
9. How do industry partners get involved?
Industry partners, from nonprofits to major studios, can support IndieFuel by securing dedicated artist slots for their employees between projects. This helps stabilize both their workforce and the creative community.
